Baseball Recap: Piggott Comes Up Short

Piggott fell victim to Riverside and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 18-0 to the Rebels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mohawks' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Piggott's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Riverside, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piggott will square off against Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverside, they will venture away from home to square off against Rector at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
