Basketball Game Preview: Chatham Hall Turtles vs. Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots

The Chatham Hall Turtles will head out on the road to challenge the Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Turtles fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They enjoyed a cozy 53-35 victory over Timberlake Christian on Friday. The game was the first time the Turtles have beaten the Tornadoes on their court since January 19, 2023.

Chatham Hall relied on the efforts of Alicja Brodziak, who almost dropped a triple-double with 23 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals, and Antonina Lubinska, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 22 points and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Lynchburg HomeSchool hadn't done well against Fairfax HomeSchool recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Patriots skirted past the Hawks 56-53.

Chatham Hall lost to Lynchburg HomeSchool on the road by a decisive 32-16 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can the Turtles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
