Soccer Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the West Stanly Colts. That's two games in a row now that the Redhawks have lost by exactly nine goals.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Stanly, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will host Anson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Stanly, they will challenge Forest Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Stanly will be up against Forest Hills' rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
