Softball Recap: Plainview Falls Short of Alexandria in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Plainview couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in April.

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 39-10-1. As for Alexandria, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 43-11-3 record this season.

Plainview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alexandria, they will face off against Curry at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Valley Cubs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
