Last Friday, everything came up roses for Ponaganset against Block Island as the squad secured a 64-15 victory. That looming 64-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chieftains yet this season.

Meanwhile, Times Squared Academy faced Moses Brown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Times Squared Academy took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Moses Brown. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ponaganset pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Times Squared Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Ponaganset skirted past Times Squared Academy 55-52 when the teams last played back in February of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ponaganset since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
