Volleyball Recap: O'Fallon Panthers vs. Father McGivney Catholic Griffins
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but O'Fallon had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2021.
O'Fallon easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12.
Abe Kniepkamp paced O'Fallon's offense, picking up six kills. Kniepkamp got some help from Blake Keller and his 13 assists. Elijah Zambrencia controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
O'Fallon has been performing well recently as they've won 22 of their last 26 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season.
