Baseball Recap: Lyman Comes Up Short

Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Master's Academy Eagles. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Anthony Hamilton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Master's Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyman will head out to face off against Lake Howell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Master's Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Lake Highland Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
