Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orangewood Christian). They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 victory over the Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Crusaders on Tuesday.

Orangewood Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Toadvine, who posted 21 points. Toadvine is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ryne Ruemler, who earned 16 points.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Aaronson, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sergio Alvarez, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points.

Orangewood Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
