Volleyball Recap: D'Evelyn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when D'Evelyn challenged Evergreen on Tuesday. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Cougars. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While D'Evelyn was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-12, 25-16.

Despite the loss, D'Evelyn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chelyn Kwon had 13 digs and two assists. Arianna Griffin also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

D'Evelyn has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Evergreen, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

D'Evelyn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Standley Lake on the 21st. As for Evergreen, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Green Mountain on the 16th.
