Football Recap: New Bedford Takes a Loss

New Bedford extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They were dealt a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Brockton Boxers. That's two games in a row now that the Whalers have lost by exactly 41 points.

As for Brockton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brockton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cijai Tyler, who rushed for 81 yards and three TDs on only six carries. Lourdany Bleus helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Bedford will take on Dartmouth at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brockton, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Durfee at 12:30 p.m.
