Basketball Game Preview: King's Academy Knights vs. Carlmont Scots

The King's Academy Knights will square off against the Carlmont Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. King's Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 24 contests -- so hopefully Carlmont likes a good challenge.

King's Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 73-36 victory over Aptos. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Carlmont had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 68-57.

Carlmont's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for King's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

King's Academy skirted past Carlmont 54-51 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Does King's Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carlmont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
