Baseball Recap: Bennett Comes Up Short on the Road Against Weld Central

Bennett kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Weld Central Rebels by a score of 3-1. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Rebels when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bennett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rafael Ibarra, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

The victory got Weld Central back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennett will host Brush at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Weld Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Aurora Central at 4:00 p.m.
