Softball Recap: Darien's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Darien has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.17 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to the Amity Regional Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Wave have suffered since May 13, 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Darien fell to 5-1. As for Amity Regional, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Darien will face off against Bridgeport Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Wave are facing the Hilltoppers at the right time seeing as the Hilltoppers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Amity Regional, they will challenge Sheehan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
