Football Game Preview: Kapolei Hurricanes vs. Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors

After both having extra time off, the Kapolei Hurricanes and the Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st.

Kapolei is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Kahuku, who was ranked first at the time (Kapolei was ranked third). The Hurricanes fell 12-7 to the Red Raiders on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kamehameha Kapalama, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in October. They took down Punahou 24-10 back in October.

Kamehameha Kapalama is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Kapolei, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Kapolei took their victory against Kamehameha Kapalama in their previous meeting back in September of 2019 by a conclusive 27-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
