Basketball Recap: Cass Colonels vs. Cartersville Hurricanes

Cass lost against Cartersville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cass Colonels fell to the Cartersville Hurricanes 64-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (59), the Colonels still had to take the loss.

Cartersville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Thomason, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kyron McClendon, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Cass' loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Cartersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Cass does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cartersville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-45 defeat against Dalton on the 13th.
