Football Recap: Santa Fe Starts Season with Victory at Home

Santa Fe took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They managed a 16-12 win over the Pioneer Titans. The Chiefs haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Santa Fe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Luke Ortega.

Santa Fe didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-20 defeat against Norwalk on the 28th. As for Pioneer, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-0 win against Loara on the 28th.
