Soccer Game Preview: Langham Creek vs. Cypress Woods

The Langham Creek Lobos will head out to take on the Cypress Woods Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Langham Creek is headed into the contest having not lost since December 30 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Bridgeland onto the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Lobos were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Cypress Woods won against Grand Oaks last Saturday with one goal and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. Cypress Woods narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Waller 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Langham Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-1-5. As for Cypress Woods, they are also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Langham Creek came up short against Cypress Woods when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Langham Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
