Basketball Game Preview: Rivercrest Colts vs. Bay Yellowjackets

The Rivercrest Colts will take on the Bay Yellowjackets at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Rivercrest ended up a good deal behind Marked Tree and lost 59-44. The loss continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Bay had to suffer through a 51-23 loss at the hands of Marked Tree. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Indians are ranked 76th).

Rivercrest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Bay, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Rivercrest against Bay in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, as the squad secured a 60-31 win. Will Rivercrest repeat their success, or does Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
