Volleyball Recap: Morris Takes Down Plano in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Morris walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Plano Reapers on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Morris was led to victory by Alyssa Jepson and Brooke Thorson. Jepson had six digs and five aces, while Thorson had seven assists and four digs. What's more, Jepson posted three assists, the most she's had over her last nine matches.

Morris has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season. As for Plano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-24 record this season.

Morris will square off against Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plano does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
