After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lutheran, Mead was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mullen Mustangs. For the Mavericks, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

Mead's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Kimrey, who had eight digs and four aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Costello, who had 11 digs and three assists.

They weren't the only good servers: Mead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are 10-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Mead's record is now 14-8. As for Mullen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-6.

Mead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Erie on the 1st. As for Mullen, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Thompson Valley on the 1st.
