Basketball Game Preview: Platte/Geddes Black Panthers vs. Colome Cowboys

Platte/Geddes is on a five-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Colome a 13-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers will host the Colome Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Platte/Geddes lost to Parkston at home by a 62-47 margin. While losing is never fun, the Black Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Trojans are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Colome scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 61-42 fall against Takini.

Colome's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Platte/Geddes, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
