Hampton County snaps four-game streak of wins on the road

It was a good run, but the Hampton County Hurricanes unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 65-38 loss at the hands of Hilton Head Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Hampton County has suffered yet this season.

Hilton Head Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tamya Hutchinson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 31 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hutchinson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Morgan Scott, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals.

Hampton County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hampton County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Barnwell at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Barnwell is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against John Paul II at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
