Basketball Recap: Hicksville's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hicksville won the last time they faced Continental and things went their way on Friday too. The Hicksville Aces blew past the Continental Pirates 50-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Aces have posted since December 8, 2023.

Hicksville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brant Langham, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points and four steals. Those 13 points gave Langham a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Turnbull, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and four steals.

The win (which was Hicksville's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Continental, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Hicksville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-33 victory against Bryan on the 7th. As for Continental, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-34 loss against Lincolnview on the 7th.
