Football Recap: Hardaway Takes a Loss

Hardaway had lost five straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it six. They had to suffer through a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Carver Tigers. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 42-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Carver, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 41.8 points thus far.

Kelston Tarver produced another solid performance rushing for 127 yards and one TD on only five carries. Tarver is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 109 every time he's taken the field this season. Another big playmaker for Carver was Zach Watts, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Hardaway will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Carver, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 48-0 win against Shaw on the 2nd.
