Given Cross Schools' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Holy Trinity Classical Christian is ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cross Schools' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Genesis Wilson, who scored nine points along with six steals. Ryan Mayers was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Cross Schools pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game.
