Pequea Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Lancaster Mennonite since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Pequea Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Octorara Area a 4-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Logan Zynn's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pequea Valley is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Trevor Vollmer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Stephen Smucker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Pequea Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Lancaster Mennonite came up short against Christian School of York on Saturday, falling 15-3.
Lancaster Mennonite saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Buckwalter, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Buckwalter has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Brady Kinney was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Lancaster Mennonite has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Pequea Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
Pequea Valley took their victory against Lancaster Mennonite in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Blazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
