Basketball Recap: Gateway Comes Up Short at Home Against City of Life Christian Academy + How To Watch

Gateway unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 74-54 to the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors on Monday. The Panthers were down 60-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Gateway still got an impressive performance from Dilleon Price, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Moise Joseph was another key player, putting up seven points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead City of Life Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samuel Perez, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 assists. Another player making a difference was Jahkeema King, who shot 90% from the field en route to 19 points and six boards.

Looking ahead, Gateway will face off against Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they will challenge Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
