Basketball Game Preview: Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays vs. Louisville Lions

The Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays will venture away from home to face off against the Louisville Lions at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ashland-Greenwood will be strutting in after a win while Louisville will be coming in after a defeat.

Ashland-Greenwood took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 38-27 victory over Lincoln Lutheran. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bluejays as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The match between them and Fort Calhoun didn't end well, with Louisville falling 51-33. The Lions were down 40-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Ashland-Greenwood's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Louisville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything came up roses for Ashland-Greenwood against Louisville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, as the team secured a 52-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ashland-Greenwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
