Baseball Recap: Kofa Kings vs. Independence Patriots
Kofa stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Independence Patriots as the Kofa Kings made off with a 14-4 victory. Winning may never get old, but Kofa sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Jaden Lopez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Lopez was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Jesus Villa looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks).
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Daniel Zazueta, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Julio Reina, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
