Volleyball Recap: Carrollwood Day Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Plant + How To Watch

Carrollwood Day faced Plant in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. That makes it the first time this season the Patriots have let down their home crowd.

While Carrollwood Day was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-15.

Elena Dibbs Frantz paced Carrollwood Day's offense, picking up 11 kills. Frantz got some help from Lia Black and her 17 assists. Black also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madison Butters, each putting up two.

Carrollwood Day's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Plant, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
