Volleyball Recap: Williamsburg Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Williamsburg was the 3-1 winner over Clermont Northeastern when they last played one another on September 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Rockets on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Williamsburg ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 18-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Williamsburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gracie Graves had 14 digs and three aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Graves.

Williamsburg's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 10-8. As for Clermont Northeastern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Williamsburg will take on East Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clermont Northeastern, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Felicity-Franklin on the 1st.
