Softball Recap: Benzie Central Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

While Benzie Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Lake City Trojans on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won four matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Benzie Central's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lake City, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Benzie Central is taking a road trip to take on Elk Rapids at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake City, they will face off against Roscommon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
