Harlem proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 33) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-54 victory over the Belvidere Bucs. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Bucs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 59-51 defeat.

Belvidere's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Pierson, who posted 21 points and four steals. That was a full 38.9% of Belvidere's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Arianna Labeau, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 20 points and three steals.

Harlem's win bumped their record up to 9-20. As for Belvidere, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-12.

Harlem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-60 loss against Freeport on the 11th. As for Belvidere, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-48 defeat against Rockford Auburn on the 11th.
