Basketball Recap: Grace Baptist Christian Comes Up Short

Grace Baptist Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 56-40 to the Emmanuel Christian Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Grace Baptist Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-43 back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Emmanuel Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zion McKnight, who posted 17 points along with eight assists and five steals. McKnight has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. AJ Kirtlan was another key player, putting up 18 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Grace Baptist Christian's record is now 0-3. As for Emmanuel Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Grace Baptist Christian will square off against Cornerstone Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 24th. Emmanuel Christian has already played their next game, a 56-40 win against Legacy Christian Academy on the 17th.
