Volleyball Recap: Marshall Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Marshall had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Charter Oak Chargers 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Marshall wouldn't go down easily and took Charter Oak into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, 15-10.

Lena Lao went supernova, getting 25 digs and two aces. Those 25 digs gave her a new career-high.

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Charter Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 20-12.

Coming up, Marshall will head out on the road to challenge Norwalk at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Charter Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
