Basketball Game Preview: Tabernacle Christian Eagles vs. Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds

The Tabernacle Christian Eagles will take on the Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tabernacle Christian comes in on three and Indiana Christian Academy on 13.

Tabernacle Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Seven Oaks Classical with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 59-40. The Eagles pushed the score to 45-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Firehawks cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Indiana Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with King's Academy on Tuesday as they won 69-54. Given the Whirlwinds' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while King's Academy are ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indiana Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tabernacle Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Tabernacle Christian ended up a good deal behind Indiana Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 67-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Indiana Christian Academy's Sawyer Tipton, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds.
