Basketball Recap: Bunker Hill Comes Up Short

Bunker Hill lost against Hickory back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bunker Hill Bears were dealt a 65-27 loss at the hands of the Hickory Red Tornadoes. The Bears' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hayley Spriggle was Bunker Hill's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Eliana McClain held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Bunker Hill's record is now 3-9. As for Hickory, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Bunker Hill will venture away from home to square off against West Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Hickory, they will welcome North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.
