The Doherty Spartans made easy work of the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans on Monday and carried off a 26-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Doherty didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aubrey Smith and Bella Marquez.

Doherty is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.6 points on average over those games. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Doherty has already played their next game, a 16-8 win against Air Academy on the 7th. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 victory against Colorado Springs Christian on the 30th.
