Baseball Game Preview: Brunswick School Bruins vs. Rye Country Day Wildcats

For the second straight game, Brunswick School will face off against Rye Country Day. The Bruins will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Brunswick School came up short against Rye Country Day and fell 6-1. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Rye Country Day's part, Teddy Cooper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. Cooper has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ryan Shurgin was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake James, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Brunswick School's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Rye Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
