Mathews had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Heartland Christian Lions by a score of 5-2. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Mathews' win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Heartland Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
