Baseball Recap: Frederick Gunn Comes Up Short

Frederick Gunn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Hopkins Hilltoppers, falling 10-3. The Highlanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Frederick Gunn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Lapinsky, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Frederick Gunn's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hopkins, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frederick Gunn will head out to square off against Canterbury School at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hopkins, they will venture away from home to challenge Brunswick School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
