Nelson County is a perfect 10-0 against Galileo since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Governors will host the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. Nelson County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

Nelson County's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Prince Edward County. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Nelson County's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Prince Edward County are ranked 162nd).

Nelson County hit Prince Edward County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cayden Torres (2), Nathan Manthey (2), and Jairo Chavez.

Meanwhile, Galileo had just enough and edged out Surry County 2-1 last Thursday.

Nelson County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0-2. As for Galileo, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5-1.

Everything went Nelson County's way against Galileo in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Nelson County made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Governors repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
