Basketball Recap: Rudyard Comes Up Short

Rudyard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sault Area Blue Devils. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Rudyard's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Sault Area, they moved to 1-7 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rudyard will challenge Munising at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sault Area, they will take on Alpena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sault Area is facing Alpena at the right time seeing as Alpena is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
