Football Recap: Temecula Prep Starts Season with Win Against Temecula Valley

Temecula Prep had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Temecula Valley Golden Bears 27-6 on Monday.

Temecula Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amina Antoine, who picked up 77 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 42 yards. That's the most receiving yards Antoine has posted since back in October of 2024. Samiyah Antoine was another key player, picking up 59 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Despite the loss, Temecula Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lynnae Casey rushed for 118 yards on only five carries. Casey got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards.

Temecula Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-0 win against Elsinore on the 14th. Hopefully Temecula Prep paid attention to the Golden Bears' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Golden Bears at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
