Oakland proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Rockvale 2-0. The Patriots haven't had any issues with Rockvale recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Jazmyne Watkins was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Oakland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockvale struck out ten times.

Oakland's victory bumped their record up to 18-4-2. As for Rockvale, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Oakland will be playing at home against Riverdale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rockvale, they will head out to take on Warren County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
