Softball Game Preview: Baruch College Blue Devils Bearcats vs. University Neighborhood Panthers

The Baruch College Blue Devils Bearcats will head out to face off against the University Neighborhood Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Baruch College is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Baruch College's win against Manhattan Village Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils Bearcats skirted past the Silver Hawks 4-2. The four-run effort marked the Blue Devils Bearcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, University Neighborhood suffered their biggest defeat since May 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against NEST+m, falling 20-10.

Baruch College pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 14.0 runs this season. As for University Neighborhood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Baruch College's way against University Neighborhood when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Baruch College made off with a 19-10 victory.
