Softball Recap: Norfork Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lead Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norfork). They put the hurt on the Lead Hill Tigers with a sharp 25-1 victory on Monday. The Panthers have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Norfork's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Lead Hill, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norfork will square off against Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lead Hill, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lead Hill Tigers take on Flippin Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Flippin has averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
