Basketball Recap: Taylor Greene Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Florence Christian's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Williamsburg Academy Stallions by a score of 56-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-38 two weeks ago.

Florence Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Greene out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Greene's evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Berry, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Florence Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Florence Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Williamsburg Academy, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Coming up, Florence Christian will face off against Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Florence Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Williamsburg Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
