Basketball Recap: Avon Skates Past Tri-County RVT with Ease

There's no place like home for Avon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 72-39 victory over the Tri-County RVT Cougars. The Panthers pushed the score to 62-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Avon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Thomas Edwards out in front who went 7 of 8 on his way to 21 points and seven boards. The matchup was Edwards' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Nyisah Miranda was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 17 assists.

Avon's record is now 5-3. As for Tri-County RVT, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
