After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aberdeen Central, Brookings was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 58-30 victory over the Douglas Patriots. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Brookings now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Douglas, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-19.

Coming up, Brookings will face off against Spearfish at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Spearfish will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Brookings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Douglas, they will square off against Yankton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Douglas is facing Yankton at the right time seeing as Yankton is stuck on a 20-game losing streak.
